Safety First: USDA Recalls 16,000+ Pounds of Cargill Ground Beef Sold at Walmart Due to E. coli Concerns
A recall for more than 16,000 pounds of raw ground beef products was announced by the US Department of Agriculture on Wednesday due to possible E. coli contamination. These goods, which came from Cargill Meat Solutions, were sold in Walmart shops all around the country.
In an effort to protect customer safety, Cargill Meat Solutions initiated a proactive recall on April 26 and 27, which was sparked by production dates on those dates. There have not yet been any verified cases of disease linked to the contaminated meat.
In response to questions from CNN, Cargill Meat Solutions stressed the recall as a preventative measure. According to the corporation, the recalled goods were sent to Walmart stores in a number of states as well as Washington, DC.

Walmart immediately recalled the affected products after learning of the recall, putting the safety of its customers first. Six different sorts of meat, including “93% Lean 7% Fat All Natural Lean Ground Beef” and “Prime Rib Beef Steak Burgers Patties,” were among the implicated meat items that were quickly removed from the shelves.
Customers who purchased any of the recalled products are advised by Walmart to either return them to the place of purchase or dispose of them. Cargill Meat Solutions has set up a consumer hotline at 1-844-419-1574 for any questions about the recall.
